At this point in our lives, we feel it is time to step back a little from the dog world and focus more on our own. We will always have papillons and always be a small part of the breed, but we hope to do so on a much smaller scale.
We are taking applications for some of the papillons we have here currently, and not all are seen on our website. This includes puppies 12 wks, 7ms, adult dogs, and retired pets. Some will be allowed to go to show homes, some may be placed with friends, and some will go as pets. Many would do great in therapy work and some would be excellent agility stars!
Just send us an email at serenadepapillons@gmail.com with the dogs you are interested in, why you are interested in them (pet/show/etc), and information about you and your family.
Blessings!

Seranade's First Nemo Babies!
The blessed day has arrived! Last Thursday night (2-3-2011), Maddie delivered us three beautiful Nemo babies! Two girls and a boy, all perfectly marked. The first to be born was a beautiful little girl, marked exactly like her father. She will also be a red sable, just like Nemo! Here's hoping she upholds his show records as well!
Girl #1 Name TBD
The next to be born was the gorgeous little tri boy. Absolutely perfect markings and already a lovely, well defined stop. These are the puppies that break your heart. I simply dont have room enough for another boy, if so, he would be staying. If he turns out to be of show quality, he will be looking for a show home and we will of course be retaining stud rights!
Little Tri Boy- Name TBD

And as always, a princess must make her debut grand.. Puppy #3, the second little girl, was a joy to see born! Such amazing markings and what a wonderful desire to live! Just like her sister and her father, she is a lovely red sable. I can't wait to see what this little girl's future holds!!
Little Girl #2- Name TBD

As with any litter, we hope they all turn out to be show dogs as we are keeping one for ourselves. But, in an effort to remain a small show home we can't keep them all. If you are interested in one of these babies, either as a pet or show home, please contact us about them. Small, bonified show homes will have priority for show quality puppies.

Available Papillons!
UPDATE: 1-12-2010 The Available pages of my website have been fully updated to reflect current availability. You can go there and see multiple pictures and even more info about these wonderful dogs needing new homes. Yes, I know. The Inquiry page still isnt working properly. Just send me an email if you are interested. ~
At this point in time, we have several papillons looking for their new forever homes! If you are interested in adding one of these beautiful furkids to your family, please send an email to SerenadePapillons@gmail.com
*NOTE* I have been informed that my inquiry page is not working properly. I appologise for this and will have it fixed as soon as I can at this busy time of year. In the mean time, please just send me an email directly and be sure to include as much detail about your family as possible. The more I know you, the better the chance I'll be able to make sure you are the right match for your new family member!!
Bruiser and Sissy- Sable and white littermates out of our Champion Sammy. I will post photos soon, but Bruiser has a perfect face. Symmetrical wide noseband and blaze makes him very flashy. He also has a fair amount of body coloring, which makes him beautiful. Sissy had a large blaze at birth, but it has closed in some. Her noseband is symmetrical and her blaze is very thin between the eyes and widens at the top of her head. I think it gives her a very sweet and ellegant look! Both are very playful and outgoing, love everyone, and willing to please. They are about 12 weeks old now and would be happy in a new home with or without the other. They love other dogs and get along great with cats! They love our 10 month old daughter too! These puppies are slightly larger than average, but not by much. I'm expecting them to fill out at around 7-8 pounds when full grown and after spay/neuter. They have HUGE ears and nice bodies, but we expect they will be "sport coat papillons" and have the same luscious coats- only shorter. (Think about it.. less grooming and less dog hair! WIN-WIN!!) Either pup would be great for agility or obedience. They are available to pet homes only on spay/neuter contracts. Breeding homes need not inquire.
Piper- Piper is a sweet and playful 2 year old girl. Piper needs a home of her own. She is a spunky little tri with a small blaze. She has a lovely coat texture, but is lacking in length. Also lovingly considered a "sport coat papillon." Her tail is always wagging and she loves EVERYONE and everything! She is always ready to play or to cuddle, just so long as she is with you. Piper is sired by our CH Merlin. She has the structure it takes to show, but has minor things that would fault her in the ring- none of which keep her from being an excellent companion. For example, Piper is only 9 inches tall at the shoulder, coupled with her lack of blaze, and smaller ears than preferred, she just wouldnt make it in the show ring. However, if I was to place all my dogs and keep one as a pet- Piper would be the pet I'd keep. No bias necessary, she's just a great girl!
More info and photos can be found on our "Available Pets" Page on the website or by clicking HERE.
I hope to have photos added within the next day or two! Thanks for your interest!!

What a Weekend!!
Well, all in all, the trip was worth it. Despite the shows being horribly organized and running over FOUR HOURS behind, with an extremely rude host, we came back with some amazing results!
Nemo was shown by my mother this weekend! Her first time in the ring, Nemo earned Best of Breed against steep competition with tons of complements from the first judge. He was overjoyed to see a papillon with such "excellent type and breeding." Nemo went on to take a GROUP ONE and narrowly missed Best in Show.. Next time Nemo.. Next time!!
Cody took Best of Breed twice against a group placing, Multi Champion, then went on to a GROUP TWO!! SO CLOSE!! Cody's coat was in a bit of disrepair after shipping him home- if he would have been in complete condition, he would have nailed it! The second judge watched him like a hawk and when I put him on the table, he just watched. He came up to me and said "Now THAT is one HE** of a Showdog!!" That SO made my day!
Both boys came away with a neck full of medals, a group placement, and their INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!! We are so proud of them!!
Win photos will be posted when they arrive!

Welcome Home Cody-Co!!
At LOOONG last, my boy is home! Cody went up with Addi to Canada and once he started showing, finished quickly. He finished in style with a five point major, almost taking breed. It's been over a year and he's still the same goof-ball he was when he left!
We are looking forward to earning Cody's American titles and his first Seranade puppies! Cody's first litter at Satori is looking great and his daughter Tori is doing great so far in the show ring! Now that DaVinci has their first Cody litter, its my turn! lol
Wish us luck this weekend as we are making the long trip up north to try for Cody and Nemo's International Championships! Its so good to have him back!!

NEWSFLASH!! CODY IS A NEW CHAMPION!!!
I just heard from MJ, Cody's handler in Canada. At today's show:
Cody won WINNERS DOG and BEST OF WINNERS
for a
FIVE POINT MAJOR
meaning that Cody will forever more be known as
CHAMPION
SERENADE'S CODE OF HONOR!!!
MJ said he almost took BOB and the ONLY dog to beat him all day was BIS! What a way to finish!
A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to all the judges that recognised Cody's quality, to Cody's breeder, April Munger of Serenity Papillons, and most of all, to Cody's AMAZING handler and my very very dear friend, MJ Kurulak of Zenzero Papillons. It wouldn't be possible without you all!
Hopefully we will have Cody's finishing photo soon, and of course, it will be posted immediately upon arrival!

WAY TO GO CODY-CO!!!
MJ and Cody Makin' Big Waves!!!
On Friday, Cody decided to act out but still did well enough to earn himself Reserve under judge Butch MacDonald !
On Saturday, after a nice chat with MJ, Cody stole the heart of Chie Ejima- world famous breeder judge of Queen Bless Papillons in Japan- and took Winners Dog and BEST OF WINNERS for 2 more points!! Chie told MJ she loved his outline and his elegance!
What an honor!!
On Sunday, Cody and MJ do it again taking Winners Dog and BEST OF WINNERS AGAIN (2 more points!) under a notorious movement judge Wayne Thompson!
Win Photo Coming Soon!!
We are so proud of these two! Cody now has 6 points total towards his Canadian Championship, leaving only four more to go! He will be entered for another three day show at the end of the month, and again the first of October. Hoping he finished in the next shows, he would be specialed in the early October shows and then would return home to resume showing here!
